Cherry Tree Nursery

Cherry Tree Nursery, New Road, Northbourne, is a sheltered work open project. It not only rehabilitates disadvantaged people but it also produces some superb horticultural products. Here I am pictured buying one, together with the Secretary of the Nursery, Elizabeth Pitkin. |
I was so impressed with the wonderful work that Elizabeth Pitkin does for Cherry Tree Nursery that I I nominated her for an Older Volunteer's Award and presented the certificate to her at an event organised by the Experience Corps at the House of Commons. |
