SIR JOHN BUTTERFILL SUPPORT DORSET ART WEEKS 2008

 

Bournemouth West M.P., Sir John Butterfill, is supporting Dorset Art Weeks and Dorset Visual Arts by signing Early Day motion 1681.

John congratulated Dorset Art Weeks and Dorset Visual Arts on organising their ninth open studio event in Dorset.  The event saw over 800 Dorset artists exhibiting in private studios and shared galleries at over 330 venues across the county.

John said ‘This is a very important event and greatly helps to raise the profile of local artists.  It also gives members of the public the opportunity to meet artists in person and to buy and/or commission works of art directly'.
