SUPPORTING BREAST CANCER

John is joining forces with Breast Cancer Campaign in its award winning Wear it Pink Day on Friday 26th October, 2007, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and urges everyone to join in too.

John recently attended a reception to launch the campaign at the House of Commons and said "Every year nearly 44,000 people in this country are diagnosed with breast cancer.  Like many others I know people who have lost friends and family members through breast cancer.  I would therefore like to encourage everyone in Bournemouth West and throughout the country to wear something pink on October 26th to help raise valuable funds for breast cancer research.  All you need do is to wear an item of pink and donate £2 to Breast Cancer Campaign.  Your donation will allow the Campaign to continue researching the cure for breast cancer and help the one woman in nine in this country who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime."
